Creating a Better Future for New Zealand and the World

I have been wondering how many of us are aware of the influence we have on those around us and the earth we live on. It has been an interesting process to become more aware of how my intentions affect everything I do and their wider influence.

I write this prompted by two experiences this last week. The first was listening to Kathryn Ryan interview a couple of people about the significance of IT for New Zealand. And the second was a request – “keen to hear more about NZ and how I can help myself our land and our people in 2012”. Both are linked for me.

The IT people were pushing for IT to become the fourth science to be taught alongside the standard sciences. The CEO of a large New Zealand corporate was lamenting the difficulty of finding people with the skills to develop new IT solutions. The school Principle also on the programme hit it on the head when he said children need to learn how to create. Developing our skills as creators is the key.
And this leads me onto the request for more information on how to help ourselves, our land and our people. Once again, it is about becoming a more conscious creator and more conscious of the awesome power and intelligence we have access to.

As we move into 2012 and beyond we enter into new territory and that is we are creating as we go. There is no ‘blueprint’ from here on and we have reached a level where we have the power to create results quickly. This means we must very conscious of what it is we are creating. This is determined by the intentions we hold. There is a very simple way to check these are sound-

1. Ask for what is in your greatest good AND best for others
2. Ask yourself ‘Why do I want it’?

Both of these must be integral.

The use of this simple process is usually overlooked. We are able to bring through anything we choose. Take for example the question posed to me – “keen to hear more about NZ and how I can help myself our land and our people in 2012”. This is a clear intention and will draw ideas, solutions and opportunities to the person holding that intention. They will feel like an inspiring idea but will be quite and not ‘pushy’. They come from our Inner Being or Soul and are often quickly drowned out by louder negative arguments and doubts from our ego. We just need to learn to follow them through and explore the possibilities they offer. I am still learning to trust this guidance and understand that it will never fail me. It is truely extraordinary.

Many of us use this guidance without truly understanding the science behind it and hence our ability to develop the conscious use of it. It can be applied in a practical way to everything we do, from developing new IT solutions, helping our land, ourselves and those around us.

One day the ability to be self-empowered and be a conscious co-creator will be taught to all.

Go well,
